Thank you for everything: Enable shows off her new NHS sheet with John Gosden

Enable and Stradivarius join Gosden and Dettori in support for NHS

GB: Although racehorses are capable of many splendid things, joining in the weekly Thursday night clap for Britain’s National Health Service may prove beyond them.

However, that hasn’t stopped Enable and Stradivarius from showing their support for NHS workers and others in the front line fighting coronavirus.

In a video produced by Newmarket racecourse, John Gosden’s superstar pair are sporting blue sheets with the NHS logo superimposed on a rainbow love heart.

Reigning champion trainer Gosden and Frankie Dettori feature on the video – which also has brief clips of the horses galloping – with their own messages of support.

Speaking alongside dual Arc winner Enable, the world’s number one racehorse, Gosden says:  “We have to thank you all in the NHS for your valiant and brave work in the face of a sinister disease.

“Thank you specifically to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge and of course the West  Suffolk in Bury St Edmonds, our local hospital, and our own hospital here in Newmarket, which is a centre for testing.

“Thank you for everything that you’re doing, Enable is very proud of her new sheet with the heart sign with the NHS on it.”
