Dubai: A total of 762 horses from 19 different countries have been nominated for the Dubai World Cup card on March 27 – with potential runners in the 25th running of the $12 million highlight headed by Saudi Cup favourite Charlatan and Pegasus World Cup winner Knicks Go.
Other names to feature among a total of 176 nominations for the Dubai World Cup include multiple G1 winner Code Of Honor, Godolphin’s undefeated Brendan Walsh trainee Maxfield – plus Tacitus, who finished fourth in the 2020 Breeders’ Cup Classic.
Like Charlatan and Knicks Go, Tacitus is due to run in the Saudi Cup before continuing to Dubai, where he was set to run last year until the meeting was cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
